Fall Prevention

Falls are one of the leading cause of injury in the older population. Currently, 1 in 3 Alberta seniors will fall each year. At Peak Physical Therapy, it is our goal to help reduce that number! This is why we have created this section (with the help of Finding Balance Alberta). We believe education plays a huge part in helping to reduce the likelihood of falls, which is why we want to share the education sheets below. If you have any more questions on how to prevent falls, or would like to seek additional treatment to help reduce your risk - call us!

Remember, Talk to your doctor, physiotherapist or health-care provider before starting an exercise program to make sure that you find activities that you are safe to participate in.
